A MACHINE DESIGNED TO WIN

Beretta, with Pietro Beretta Selection, redefines the paradigm of clay target shooting with SL2, the new over & under platform that marks the beginning of a new era: the Hypergun.

Showcasing unmatched craftsmanship, forward-thinking design and cutting-edge technical innovations, the custom-built SL2 is crafted for victory.  A revolutionary shooting platform that sets new standards in the sport. The SL2 stands out as the first shotgun to feature the advanced Steelium® Pro X barrels, offering unprecedented performance.

A SHARP DESIGN

The cutting-edge lines of the receiver have been reduced and enriched by a revolutionary anti-glare texture. These laser-engraved micro pyramids were developed to break the light, while the absence of shoulders and the lower top lever allow an enhanced view of the target. For a solid grip, the design of the forend has been completely revised.

ENGINEERED FOR SUCCESS

As with the most victorious shotgun ever, the legendary DT11, the trigger group on the SL2 is detachable and quickly replaceable, leaf springs ensure a clean and even trigger pull at all times. The Steelium® Pro X barrels were developed with Beretta professional shooters, featuring an elongated choke fitting compared to the DT11 Steelium® Pro profile for optimised shot patterns and superior ballistic performance.
As for any PB shotgun, the barrel surface is carefully polished by the hands of the Pietro Beretta Italian gunsmiths to get to a flawless shiny finish. The stunning grade 4 walnut wood is masterfully crafted to
create made-to-measure stock and forend, finely checkered by hand for a perfect grip.

Steelium® Pro X barrels, over and beyond
With Steelium® Pro X on SL2, Beretta further advances barrel technology, charting a new course in performance. Three elements make Steelium® Pro X the best barrel ever made -

Terminal energy: A smaller diameter of the forcing cone allows a better terminal energy, recoil reduction, and better performances with felt fibre wad.

Shot pattern: Tested with 3D modelling, it now provides an incredibly consistent and uniform pattern, full of energy throughout its useful range.

Recoil management: We used pressure sensors and load cells to measure recoil on the shooter's shoulder. The smoother recoil, compared to the Pro version, is easily detectable. New 90-millimeter chokes, called OCXP, complete the package

A NEW COLOUR

The SL2 receiver surface finishing is a new and innovative Graphite Grey layer, applied through an electrochemical deposition process.  The Graphite Grey finishing is fully compliant with the Beretta sustainability policies as it is fluoride free. Moreover, it provides enhanced performance with higher resistance to corrosion, aging and brightness.

WIDE CUSTOMISATION

SL2 is a PB Selection product and therefore, in order to be part of the noblest family of Beretta guns, it must allow for the widest possible customisation by the customer.

These include:
  • Top lever which can be with the three hollowed-out arrows, hollow, or full.
  • A classy upgrade of stock and forend woods is possible: from class 4 standard to the top, represented by class 5. All made-to-measure with a choice of three oil finishes.
  • For lovers of modern style, a carbon version can be requested

The SL2 is a machine designed to win, a shotgun that brings together the features of luxury products through the stylistic elaboration and customisation capabilities of our Beretta’s PB Selection division.  The new SL2 completes the Beretta Clay Shooting Family, joining the 680, 690, DT11 and SO5 series
