The Merger LRF series offers a wide range of European-made sensors tailored to various user needs:

  • The compact Merger LRF XQ35 is perfect for those who are constantly on the move.
  • The highly sensitive Merger LRF XP50 excels in any weather conditions.
  • The smaller Merger LRF XP35 offers its class’s widest field of view at 17.8°.
  • The Merger LRF XL50 provides HD thermal resolution, delivering detailed images even at high zoom levels.

MERGER LRF XP35

The Pulsar Merger LRF XP35 is the most compact model of the range, yet offers the widest in-class field of view – 17.8°. At the same time, it features great thermal sensitivity for extremely informative observation in the toughest conditions.

Main specifications

Objective lens: F35 / 1.0
Magnification, x: 2 – 16
FOV (HxV)degrees / m@100m: 17.8
Detection range: 1350 m

New HD 1024x768 @12µm thermal sensor

Merger LRF XL50 offers the next level of thermal imaging experience. The image generated by new 1024×768 pixels thermal sensor features high definition and rich detail. It is ideal for uncompromised trophy identification. Silhouettes, anatomy & behavioural peculiarities of animal are well visible clearly distinguishable.

High image detail across the whole magnification range

Variable 2.5-20x magnification of Merger XL50 provides improved focus and better overall object recognition at significant distances. The HD-sensor allows to maintain high level of image detail over the entire magnification range. The zoom changes either gradually in 2x step or continuously for a customized FOV / magnification ratio for each specific situation. Merger XP35 offers 2-16x magnification.

Widest field of view

640×480/17 µm sensor of Merger LRF XP35 offers the widest field of view of 17.8 degrees. A wide field of view simplifies scanning and spotting hot objects while minimizing effects of image shaking and raising situational awareness. Excellent image detail on base magnification combined with wide field of view ensure improved viewing comfort and scene perception. Merger LRF XL50 field of view – 14 degrees.

Extra-long detection range

Powerful objective lens in combination with professional grade 12 µm / 1024×768 pix HD thermal imaging sensor provides exceptional detection capabilities. A standard 1,8m tall object can be detected at a 2300 m distance in complete darkness.

User mode

Use the brightness and contrast adjustments to maximise the detail and informative value of the image in specific observation conditions. The User Mode function saves selected brightness and contrast settings in the device’s memory providing optimal image quality for the next use of the thermal imager immediately, with no additional adjustments needed.

Classic binocular design

Merger LRF thermal imaging binoculars are built with the classic design of daytime binoculars. With a small form factor, these thermal imaging binoculars fit comfortably in the hand, but still offer appealing external aesthetics and exemplary ergonomics. The six function buttons are placed in the comfort access zone and the most used digital device functions are activated with a single touch.

Comfortable viewing experience with both eyes

The Merger LRF binoculars’ optical design takes into account the nature of human vision. It is natural for a person to receive visual information through two visual channels simultaneously. Viewing with two eyes is less tiring than viewing with one. This means better detection of small or faint objects, and better performance in low-contrast scenarios than similar monocular thermal imaging devices with the same technical level. The interpupillary distance in the Merger LRF binoculars is adjustable from 62 to 74 mm in accordance with the individual characteristics of a particular user.

Precise laser rangefinder with 1000 m measuring distance

Understanding the target distance is an essential factor in making the right decisions. A built-in laser rangefinder with a range of up to 1 kilometre allows you to measure distances in single measurements and continuous scanning modes with an accuracy of ± 1 meters for quick and error-free assessment of the situation.

Combined dual battery system

The Merger LRF XL50 is powered with two rechargeable batteries: one built-in with a capacity of 4 Ah, the other replaceable with a capacity of 3.2 Ah. A single charge guarantees long battery life. The embossment on the body of the replaceable battery for accurate determination of the correct position makes it possible to quickly and confidently replace a flat battery with a new one in complete darkness by touch.
