For everyday life in the truck, on the farm, and through the woods, the hard-working All-Weather finish is a must-have.
Built for a tough world, we use a satin hard chrome plating that’s permanently bonded to the steel underneath that doesn’t flake, chip, peel, and has a corrosion resistance that actually exceeds some stainless steel. Not only does this increase surface hardness, but it also reduces friction on moving parts to take our already smooth action to the next level. Details are important, so even the screws are stainless.
While we remain partial to our genuine American walnut stocks, we’ve opted for a stained hardwood with a carefully engineered coating that is formulated to stand up to wear, tear, scratches, moisture, temperature variations, and the angst of the various “character marks” that an everyday outdoor tool will inevitably pick up during its lifetime. This is the finish you want for a rifle that might be “rode hard and put away wet.”
This Henry offering is essentially the same as it's blued steel counterparts in profile and general dimensions. The .30-30 features a 20” round barrel, straight-wrist stock, 5-shot magazine capacity. It come with adjustable semi-buckhorn rear and brass bead front sights. The receiver is drilled and tapped for a scope, and comes with sling swivel studs and ventilated rubber recoil pad installed.
For some added utility, these rifles are configured with a side loading gate to make loading and keeping the magazine topped off as easy as possible. However, the magazine tube is still removable for safe, easy unloading.
