The Feinwerkbau P44 is a single-shot, pre-charged pneumatic .177 (4.5mm) match air pistol built for 10-metre ISSF Olympic-style competition. It uses a 200 bar compressed-air reservoir giving roughly 160 shots per fill, and an integrated tungsten-alloy absorber piston that works in line with the barrel to almost completely cancel the firing impulse. The pistol features a fully adjustable match trigger, a length-adjustable micrometer rear sight, and an anatomical grip offered in multiple sizes for both right- and left-handed shooters.
Feinwerkbau, founded in 1948 in Oberndorf am Neckar, became a dominant force in Olympic 10-metre air pistol shooting; the P44 and its predecessors have been carried by world and Olympic champions in the air pistol discipline.
