Product Overview

Designed in Greeley, Colorado, and tested on the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains, the XTR III line of riflescopes features elite competition reticle designs, enhanced field-of-view, and accessories built to make you a more efficient shooter. Inspired by tactical and competition shooting, precision and reliability are at the core of the XTR III line of optics.

Available in 3.3-18x50mm and 5.5-30x56mm, both models are built with a 34mm body tube for increased strength and extended adjustment range. Elevation adjustments up to 120 MOA on the 3.3-18X50mm will take the 6.5 Creedmoor past one mile. Expanded side parallax adjustment on both models allows fine-tuning focus at shorter distances.

Premium glass and optical designs, including a smaller eyepiece signature and larger eye box, provide best-in-class field-of-view, deeper depth of focus, and outstanding light transmission. All reticle options now include selectable green and red illumination with 11 brightness levels allowing shooters to confidently engage targets in low light and shadows. The Special Competition Reticle (SCR) 2 features a gridded “Christmas tree” design, allowing extremely fast and accurate windage and elevation compensation and clear communication with spotters.

The next-generation long-range competition scope puts you on target at extreme ranges with industry best field of view, 5x plus zoom range, choice of three front focal plane reticles, race dial options, and more. The XTR III line of riflescopes features elite competition reticle designs, enhanced field-of-view, and accessories built to make you a more efficient shooter.  Inspired by tactical and competition shooting, precision and reliability are at the core of the XTR III line of optics.

SCR 2™ Illuminated

The SCR 2™ reticle provides a customer-requested "tree" style reticle. Developed and tested by champion shooters, the SCR 2 reticle provides outstanding information for shot tracking and ranging.

Tree reticles are popular with long range and precision shooters because they offer a quick and accurate way of compensating for both distance and wind. Equally importantly, this well defined tree reticle aids in range estimation and offers the immediate feedback shooters need for point-of-impact correction.

Designing a tree reticle is an exercise in compromises: a pattern that is too complicated obscures too much of the target while a pattern too simple does not provide sufficient functionality. Burris worked with professional shooters to makes ure the SCR2 reticle hits that balance perfectly.

The SCR2 gives precision shooters everything they need in a reticle while staying sufficiently unobtrusive when it is not needed. As a mrad-based design with 0.2 mrad graduations, the SCR2 is compatible with all calibers. The learning curve for anyone accustomed to mrad-based systems is minimal.
