Sierra MatchKing (SMK) bullets are the benchmark for precision, delivering unmatched accuracy and ballistic efficiency. Designed for long-range performance, they feature high BC and ultra-tight tolerances for reliable, consistent results.
This bullet is designed in the MatchKing® tradition, and manufactured to MatchKing® standards, and intended for rifles shooting magnum cartridges, such as the 338 Winchester Magnum and 338-378 Weatherby. This bullet will shoot well in 338 Winchester Magnum barrels with 1×12″ twist rate. While they are recognized around the world for record-setting accuracy, MatchKing® and Tipped MatchKing® bullets are not recommended for most hunting applications. Although MatchKing® and Tipped MatchKing® bullets are commonly used for varmint hunting, their design will not provide the same reliable explosive expansion at equivalent velocities in varmints compared to their lightly jacketed Hornet, Blitz or VarmintKing counterparts.
