With the help of the latest CAD systems, Manurhin has completely redesigned the MR73 to create the MR88 Defense DX and MR88 Sport SX, a revolver built to meet the demands of law enforcement professionals as well as serious competition shooters. The every aspect of the MR88 is designed to provide outstanding balance, accuracy, ruggedness and reliability. The MR88 features a unique trigger system that delivers one of the smoothest trigger pulls ever found on a double action with zero-creep. The cylinder of the MR88 is fully machined from forged, ordnance-certified steel billets, and the chamber finish is conducted by an impact process resulting in remarkably smooth chamber walls and long service life. In addition, all fitting and adjusting of the MR88 is done entirely by hand by master gunsmiths including deburring, polishing and assembling the mechanical parts.
